Hi! Is this the norm in UK hospitals?

Unfortunately the system is just like that. It's horrible.. C sections cost the hospital money so they don't like to do them unless they absolutely have to. (example: in order to save the mother or babys life) I'm terribly sorry for your friends loss I can't imagine the pain. She will be okay eventually, just make sure she gets all the support she needs..
